Position Overview

We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented PCB Designer to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and design for manufacturability, and a strong understanding of modern electronic hardware development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality schematic diagrams and multi-layer PCB layouts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad, OrCAD)

• Collaborate with electrical engineers to implement hardware design specifications

• Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC standards, thermal performance, and DFM/DFA guidelines

• Generate and maintain fabrication and assembly documentation (Gerber files, BOMs, assembly drawings)

• Work with cross-functional teams on prototype validation, revisions, and testing

• Assist in selecting components with considerations for cost, availability, and performance

• Support PCB bring-up, debug, and validation in lab settings

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in PCB design and layout

• Proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or OrCAD

• Understanding of electrical design principles, signal integrity, and circuit analysis

• Knowledge of design standards including IPC specifications and DFM practices

• Strong documentation and version control practices

• Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

• Experience in rigid-flex and high-speed digital designs

• Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller-based boards

• Understanding of simulation tools for signal integrity and thermal performance

• Exposure to hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
